Happy Halloween is a competitive game where players take on the role of goblins on the scariest night of the year. They must collect disenchanted trios of matching or same-coloured treasures to score more points than the other goblins.
Each player initially starts with no cards. They are all placed in a pile face down in the centre of the table and, in turn, each player decides which of the possible actions to take: trick, treat or disenchant.
Deal: the player takes two treasures (cards) from the central pile and places them face up in his or her playing area in view of the other players.
Truco: the player enchants (steals) one of the cards from any player's playing area and takes it to his or her playing area but enchanted (horizontally and face up).
Unenchant: the player places all the cards in his or her playing area face up and vertically.
If the player has chosen trick or treat as an action, at the end of the trick or treat, he/she can score in groups of three cards that have the same type of treasure or the same colour, but only the cards that are disenchanted (vertically). Then, in groups of three, he will place them face down forming a pile that will be his treasures already obtained and that nobody will be able to steal from him.
The game ends when the central deck is exhausted and, at that moment, all the face-up cards of each player (enchanted or not) will automatically become part of the scoring deck (face down) of the player on the left. The player with the most face-down cards will be the goblin who has collected the most treasure on Halloween night and, therefore, will have won the game.
